Trusting God (2)

This is an experience on how God comes through for us when we ask for things we think may not happen or what may look irrational or even what we think has to happen in a general or normal way. 

✔️ It was a Wednesday evening in school, days when exams were Knocking already, days when we had to read by all means. I'm sure you can relate perfectly. Myself and a friend (I will call her Aunty S), left the library for Bible study which was to hold outside the school environment. We were really tired that day and to think it was during a fasting period in church. We got to church that evening, listened to every bit of the Bible study, even though at a point, I was thinking of what to eat when I get back to the hostel that night. I wanted to eat something different instead of my normal rice, indomie or spaghetti (the major foods I eat in school).

✔️We finished Bible study, blessed as usual and we were set to  start our journey back to the hostel. On our way, we saw a Barbeque stand. Eiiiiii🙆 and immediately, cravings for Barbeque came for aunty S and myself, even though at that time, aunty S preferred Sharwama but that particular time, we had little money on us, and really, it was devastating 😂

✔️ Guess what I did? I started praying to God to send an helper who will give us Barbeque or God should just do something anyhow that I may not even be able to reason. Barbeque didn't come😂

✔️ We got to the school gate, we saw a Suya stand. Gosh! another cravings for Suya came immediately. To think, that was not my first time seeing that Suya stand oooo but I Sha intensified my prayers with faith for myself and Aunty S. Till we got to the hostel, both Barbeque and Suya, nothing came!

✔️ That night, I planned to get swallow food to eat, all the places I thought I will get swallow, swallow finished already. I just lost that appetite and to think that before I can assimilate well, I needed food that night. Aunty S, as the mummy that she is😃 made me eat indomie again, no choice, we ate, we move!

✔️ Before that day, I planned to visit my guardian's place for weekend. I needed same change in some eating plans, abi?🤦. Friday came, a day that the Lord had made and prepared, I carried my load to my guardian's place(I will call them D.O and M.O)

✔️ I got there that evening and D.O was telling me I grew taller , I was getting fatter and all( but what was in my mind ehn😃). M.O was just smiling, she knew I didn't get fat in any way. I was happy to see everybody again that evening.

✔️ Then, it was time to eat dinner, the miracle happened!. M.O served me with cat fish pepper soup with good swallow food.( The food was a complete one). My head sprang, I was really surprised, and immediately, I chatted Aunty S up. (I guess Aunty S keyed into the miracle.)

✔️ That Saturday, D.O and M.O went out and when D.O came back that evening, he brought plenty Suya home, and not just any Suya but Chicken and Meat Suya. We did round table eating that night with discussions.

✔️ God is really a great father. My little, simple, irrational prayer with a little sauce of doubt was answered. Then on Sunday, it was time to leave, I packed plenty things back to the hostel.

✔️ The first place I went when I got back to hostel was aunty S's room. Aunty S had been planning to give me weekend gist of how God also did wonders.(How God used another friend to get her what she wanted)... 

That's the story of my experience! 

✔️ If God had sent the Barbeque or Suya that Wednesday through someone, it's possible I start seeing that person as a "big person". You know God will not share His glory with any man. (Psalm 104:31). He may choose to do it in a way where you won't have to link the miracle to anybody or you then feel it's because you prayed and God must answer.

✔️God may not do things the way we expect, He works in diverse ways. If God should do it the way we expect, you may see it like a normal privilege and take it for granted. 

✔️ God may also choose to look at  future responses to things we are praying for now before He chooses to answer.

I didn't tell my guardian to give me any of those foods and I wasn't expecting it either, so, honestly, it was God.

✔️ God doesn't forget any of His children ( He sent a bird to Elijah, nobody can take that glory at all). If you choose God over all, be assured, with great faith and intentionality (Heb. 11:1) that when you tell Him to provide a thing, He will do it, just ask Him because our heavenly father won't like to see us lack anything.

✔️ Don't limit God, don't doubt Him, He has His ways of doing these things. Don't hinder yourself from the things God wants to give you by not asking Him. Sometimes, He just needs you to open your mouth and ask. You know, He won't strife with man at all.
