No Fences

Mangoes are sweet and am certain you know that already. So what's with mango today? Before I continue let me ask, did you ever climb a mango tree just to get one ripe mango. That extent, was it really worth it?

We move. There was this Mango tree in our compound which bore fruits in its own season. Kai that Mango was legit. One thing that confused people around this Mango was that it appeared green when ripe. When it is over ripe, the colour changes. So as the owners we knew these. So if by chance you satiate this Mango illegally it might be late before you realize that it had gone. While you are waiting for it to appear yellow we would have actually gone for it at its best state and have distributed it. With time the logic was known. Who knows if inquisitiveness had revealed it to others.

Something was peculiar with this Mango tree from other fruit trees . It was the fact that it was beside the fence. This means that as it grows its branches extends and grows from inside the compound to the 'no fence' area. This 'no fence' area was a place outside the fence. As usual, some Mangoes will grow inside and some will grow outside depending on where the branches could reach.

One thing is considered true. You become a thief if you decide to jump over the fence to take the Mangoes inside the compound. You can be punished for this.
Let's say you were walking beside the fence on your way from school; you were hungry; you stretched forth your hand and plucked the ones outside the fence. Ehnnnnnn you are not a thief na? Abi? That one just grew outside.

One lesson to learn from this...

Those Mangoes within the fence area were protected unlike those outside. The ones outside were prone to "theft". Did all Mangoes not come from the same tree? Did they all get equal protection in that regard?

Are you still abiding in God's presence or you are out of the fence? Mind you, that 'no fence' area is prone to danger and illegal plucking with no permission. Have you actually built fences around your world with God's word?  Are your feelings, emotions and those drives still in check? What about those thoughts? Maybe it's actually summed up in your heart.

Dear friend, keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all, for out of it flow the springs of life. Proverbs 4:23
