A letter from Saul
Dear distinguished,
With what feelings shall I express my dealings with God in my time on earth. Should I say that you are privileged at this very time in your life.
I am Saul and I represent a dimension of God's Judgment. What have you possibly learned from me. Remember that you have a book now called the Bible. In it you have numerous edges others in time past never had. Although it wasn't in my time it was written in that chapter;
Romans 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
You now have privileges to learn and re-learn from those who have gone ahead of you. What are you doing with that Book called the Bible?
If you would consider it, I had special characters that made me qualified in numerous ways to be a King. Have you forgotten whose son I was and my description.
1 Samuel 9:2 Kish had a son named Saul, a choice young man and handsome; among all the Israelites there was not a man more handsome than he. He was a head taller than any of the people.
Why then was I rejected by God who you now have a privilege to call Him a Father. We dare not at my time. He was so much referenced that we feared Him and trembled at his presence. Now do you not take him for granted in your actions. Don't forget He is still the Lion and the Lamb.
Beyond physical characters and human strength I lacked enough patience as a youthful King. If it be, can you consider my situation? I was used to deliver the Jabeshgilead from the Ammonite. Did I not function as a King. I also had a good heart and the similitude of a shepherd. Why do you think I was after my father's Donkeys for days.
Could you imagine I had to wait for 7 days for the arrival of Samuel who God used mightily. If you think that's a joke you must be funny. The pressure was so intense and trying. My own people decided to scatter from me.
1 Samuel 13:9 Saul waited seven days, according to the set time Samuel had appointed. But Samuel had not come to Gilgal, and the people were scattering from Saul.
Dear you may not be able to relate with that pressure. I presume you must have been faced with other pressing issues that needed to be addressed urgently. I was a King and I needed to act. Should I have watched still?
Irrespective of the pressure I had or that you might have please remember my faults. I lacked patience. Even if it remained a second till the appointed time I lacked patience. It was so painful that immediately I performed that sacrifice Samuel came.
Do you know what that means? I pray you don't. Be wise and knowledgeable to learn from the mistakes of the past.
In all remember the words of him who became a King after me.
Psalms 27:14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
Psalms 37:7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
There are more that I desire to tell you. I hope you learn from this little. If it be I will send you another letter from the life of a King.
Yours Kingly π,
Saul.
