Dear Distinguished -- Remember your first love! 10

 Dear Distinguished,

How e dey go? Or better still, how do you do? I am as good as gold, thanks for asking. To be honest, I have no idea how to construct this letter but we trust the Holy Spirit for help; abi?

Let's take a much needed flashback to the day you became born again. The  day you lifted up your heart to the heavens singing "no turning back, no turning back". Did you feel like the Lord should return that moment? Did you feel like screaming the good news at every bus stop before your house? Did you sit down in His presence, reveling in His love? You did ehn? So what happened to the joy of your salvation?

I am speaking to you my dear; in the same vein, I am speaking to myself. What happened to us? When did we become so concerned about the cares of tomorrow? Why do we still struggle with the burdens we've casted on Jesus? What happened to the hunger and thirst that plagued our infant years? Why did we start feeling wise in our own sight? When did we become so familiar with the word of God? How did we get here?

My dearest, remember your creator in the days of your youth! Remember therefore how you have received and heard. Remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the first works. Remember your first love!

Let your light so shine before men. Else, He'll come quickly and remove your candlestick from it's place.

Selah,

The Distinguished.
