The thirty mighty warriors

Image
Were you ever clouded by how much honour is conferred upon persons around you that you felt so insignificant? Maybe to a degree, you thought that was the height of it, and there was no room for you. Hey! It's not a competition but a mandate, your shining!  The story of Benaiah. His tales for your inspiration. Hi there! I am Benaiah, son of Jehoiada, a valiant warrior from Kabzeel. I did many heroic deeds, which included killing two champions of Moab. Another time, on a snowy day, I chased a lion down into a pit and killed it. Come on! You didn't smile or give applause. Is it because I openly declared what I did 😂 You better celebrate grace 🤲🏽 By the way, my name means Yahweh builds up. You can name one of your kids that if you don't mind 😉  We all have our differences, and something makes us stand out amongst the crowd. Yeah, there's enough place for everyone if only every person walks in their lane.  David was our King and a great one indeed. As his sol...

The Soldier's Armour

Image
Darkness broods still in the land Lights extinguishing day and night Yet a soldier in the land must thrive And fulfill His Master's command Or else, I have lived in vain Armed with his armour I can do all things Armed with his armour I can do all things Held firmly by the truth That He is God That He loves the world That he gave himself for her That He is powerful And that he saves No storm will bend me over His righteousness strong on our hearts When the accuser brings his thoughts To make us worthless And render us dirty and vile We'll recall that you will not impute sin And hold on to your righteousness Standing out in the dark world Our feet ready to go Climbing heights for you Running and walking for the gospel Spreading peace and reconciliation The accuser may see us thriving Shooting doubts, worries and fears To make us question ourselves We can't stop him from shooting Just as we can't stop birds from flying But they won't build a nest on our he...

Motif

Image
Tired again Of monotonous journeys On this earthly plain Needs to meet Bills to pay Things to do But assurance stands At the back of my mind That victory in this  Has been won for me Years ago When he died on that wooden cross And rose again the third day from the dead Head of principalities and powers He overcame death and gave me life With all that pertains to godliness He gave me his spirit and assured me of his help through it all Afterall,  it's his work I am his work Victory belongs to him Of this, I am sure Of this, we can be sure That I have God with me And that he is enough So, even though it may not be seem like it  It may not even feel like it But I've seen and I know  That God is good And he always wins So it's all good I'll find my motivation in this That I began my life from the end point As a winner in the end So yes,  This need was met This pain eventually left That job eventually came This ministry prospered The men got healed They g...

Faith is Work

Image
Reference Scriptural passage- Acts 14 Here was a man who had been crippled from birth listening to Peter preach. Attention is attractive. His own attention attracted Peter's. At times, we do not get the things we want from God because we do not pay enough attention to Him. Reception is first a posture of heart, before it is the receipt of a thing. Are you attentive to God and His Words? We see in this scripture that the attention of the lame man to the words of Peter was what made him noticed. After his attention commanded that of Peter, what next happened? Peter looked directly at him, and saw that he had faith to be healed. It was on this strength of this deduction that Peter said to him, Stand up on your feet . The latter part of that verse says at that, the man jumped up and began to walk. This man did not doubt the words of Peter. He had every logical reason to, because he had never even walked all his life. But because he had faith, the moment he heard stand up...

Dear Distinguished – To-Do List In The Mud?

Image
Is your to-do list in the mud? Or is sparkling clean, functional, and ever ready to guide you on your journey to productivity? In our last blog post, Olayinka told us about using a to-do list to organize our work. Did you read it? If not, halt. Go back and read it here. Come back when you are done. Alright, welcome back from that short non-commercial break. I like that we are all on the same page now. When I first got introduced to the art of making a to-do list, I found it hard to keep up. Now, I can’t seem to move around without that tiny piece of paper. Funny right? If you’re in love with the idea of using a list but lack the discipline to follow through, then listen up. This post is for you. Screenshot this line: “All change is hard at first, messy in the middle, and beautiful at the end.” Read it over and over for it to sink in. If you’ve started this journey, I want you to know that you are doing well. Regardless of if you are achieving all on your list or not. To hel...

To do list in the mud

Checked! Checked! Checked! If only they were, undoubtedly, you would have been stepping ahead. The race to become is not just in wishes and desires, all spelled and written down with no hands on deck. While he kept wondering what held him back and what limited him in the growth he desired to see, the Holy Spirit pointed it out straight to him and said; "if only you are disciplined enough to complete those goals of yours... " You complete the rest and fill the gap.  While it may true that your faith moves mountains and your expectations wouldn't be cut off, it's a truth that without works, your faith is dead.  It's this simple, and here is the message. Be disciplined and stop dragging your feet! Though Moses was still waiting for what to do in front of the Red sea, He got a response from God.  Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the people to get moving! Exodus 14:15 NLT Get moving! Do something even as you are led, and bein...
