Distinguished – Back Like We Never Left

 

Dear Distinguished,

Yeah, I know. I know you want to shoot me at the rate at which I’ve been going on and off. I don’t derive joy in this but y’all always forgive me so what can I say?

Perhaps you have not gotten the memo, we are back. When I say we, I mean you, me, and the blog. You like? Yes, you do. It feels good to write this series again. I hope you feel the same.

Now that I am in your face, I will like you to know that it is not too late to start. You may have stalled since January due to reasons best known to you, but my guy, you should still go for gold.

How? Do like me. See how I sneaked into your WhatsApp dm with updates from the blog? Eh ehn. Do like that. Act like you just got the chance to chase your dreams because well, you just did in my books.

Every new hour/day/week/month, you get a chance to do what you want. Of course, you’ll need to refuel the fire.

Pick up your book of prophecies and remind yourself of all God promised you. If you still have your resolution or goals for the year, now is a good time to read it again.

I read in “The 5 am Club” by Robin Sharma that when you least feel like doing something is the best time to do it. Do you know why? Because it stretches your self-discipline and strengthens your character.

The first of January was a good time to resume writing this series. Now that I have begun typing is the next best time.
