Energy is something not far fetched from the man with vision or dreams but dreams don't work alone on energy. Men with visions, dreams, business ideas, and the likes always have this strength, commitment at the beginning but...

A few weeks ago I was at work, cutting chin-chin and I learned something. When I started I was so eager to cut, in fact, I was like “mehnn this chin-chin is in soup today”😂, but “but” happened to me, I spent over an hour cutting the chin-chin I realized few minutes into it I was hoping like really hoping it'd finish as soon as possible, I got tired and started sweating, I got a seat, took a break to rest, at this point, it didn't look like the batter was ever going to finish. 

 “But” always happens to most of us along the line of our dreams and the visions we've had, but what keeps us going is not only the energy we started with but obviously, the words with which we run with. Nahhh energy alone can't sustain a man who wants to go far, you know why?

Habakkuk 2:1-2

[1]I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.

[2]And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

 You can't work on energy alone, there are days when you get tired and can't keep up the appointments, days when you don't just feel like going to survey like you used to, days when all you just want to do is take a seat or preferably your bed and rest, on such days what happens to your dreams, your up and coming ideas to change people's lives. 

When I was much younger, I danced a lot and got into competitions, very funny ones, in fact, there are a few things that I noticed keeps the winner in the competition till the end and I'll expressly explain them below,(you may be wondering how I still remember these few things, trust me I brooded over them for long);

• Knowledge and Skill; You can only walk or run in the reality of something you have come to understand and fully grasp, something you know. Scripture says in John 8 and verse 32;

  John 8:32

[32]And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. 

The original rendition of the word Know in this verse means to know, you can only thrive on the wings of convictions, I mean what are you running after if you don't know anything about it?. At least know a little about what exactly you're interested in before you even start, that mission work God has called you to do I'm very much aware that God has made provision but it won't kill you to study, research, and stay in prayers to gather much more information and instructions concerning it.

    • Persistency; Merriam Webster Dictionary will refer to this as “a quality”, a feature you have, it's part of you already, a characteristic that even when everything and everyone around you says No, you say Yes. When everything and everyone keeps pointing at the stop sign you continue, in the case of the dancer, when your legs tell you “It haff do, let's rest” you continue regardless, That is Persistency. Now persistency encompasses diligence, and focus. 

    

   • Consistency; The main reason for the write, I believe this isn't just built all at once, I believe there's a mastery of consistency. That you keep falling till your feeble knees are strong enough to stand on their own. I consistently cut the chin-chin till it was all gone even though I lost my energy along the way, 

Apostle Paul in 2 Timothy 4:2

[2]Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

The instant there would be ever ready, and you can't be ever ready if you haven't mastered consistency, consistency in routines that keep you awake and at alert, consistency in the things that keep your energy at a higher percentage such that when the energy level begins to drop, your consistent routine keeps the level alive. 

        Believers, we have the advantage of God's Spirit in us, so there's no confusion on the way to our dreams. Apostle Paul didn't run the ministry on the wings of energy or his strength, he ran with God's word Persistently, Studying God's word in and out of season, being consistent with what was placed in his hands. He didn't run with energy. Men who run with God's word are men that set for themselves regimens, knowing fully well where they are going.
