Motif

Tired again
Of monotonous journeys
On this earthly plain

Needs to meet
Bills to pay
Things to do

But assurance stands
At the back of my mind
That victory in this
Has been won for me
Years ago
When he died on that wooden cross
And rose again the third day from the dead

Head of principalities and powers
He overcame death and gave me life
With all that pertains to godliness
He gave me his spirit and assured me of his help through it all
Afterall,  it's his work

I am his work
Victory belongs to him
Of this, I am sure
Of this, we can be sure
That I have God with me
And that he is enough

So, even though it may not be seem like it
It may not even feel like it
But I've seen and I know
That God is good
And he always wins
So it's all good

I'll find my motivation in this
That I began my life from the end point
As a winner in the end

So yes,
This need was met
This pain eventually left
That job eventually came
This ministry prospered
The men got healed
They got saved
And they grew
I saw fruits
I won

No, these are not wasted years
Every step was leading me in victory

I'll look back someday
And tell this story
Of how I overcame

Its all just on repeat
All just a pattern
I know where the story ends
In victory

Its all just a motif
But it still is my motive
For He can be trusted

Yes and Amen
