A letter from the Perfume maker

Dear Distinguished,

How have you been? It has come to my notice that you now have my products all around. Here and there, there's a fragrance coming out from you and around you. Oh! Don't be confused I speak of perfumes.

Then, it was an art called apothecary. I hope you must have seen this before. Maybe you should start reading that book called the Bible. It houses numerous knowledge to help and guide you. I will give you two places out of the four this word was mentioned. You look for the others 😄

Exodus 37:29 And he made the holy anointing oil, and the pure incense of sweet spices, according to the work of the apothecary.

It was somewhat related to the production of perfumes and all mentioned above. You see, the production of perfumes wasn't something done without carefulness. It was an art advised to be done in a confined and clean environment to avoid the intrusion of external impurities. Here lies my message for you :

Ecclesiastes 10:1 Dead flies cause the ointment of the apothecary to send forth a stinking savour: so doth a little folly him that is in reputation for wisdom and honour.

As simple as this maybe I hope you take your time to study that verse again as it was drawn from the Bible. That wisdom will guide you in all you do.

In the production of perfumes and all, it would be better if the whole oil and its constituents were thrown away whenever dead flies got into them. It was my duty as a perfume maker to produce something that brings out the best fragrance and not a bad, stinky odor.

One really has to be careful in all one does. As little as the flies may be, their effect, like little foxes will spoil the vine. Be very careful in all that you do and in your walk with God before Him and before men. Weren't they priests who served strange fires before God?

As little as it might be, you really need to be careful and watch. It can be those unpleasant characters of yours. The way you speak and all. It was even said that your laziness and disregard for time might affect you later. Do not let Asa's wound develop to that extent before you know what you ought to do.

Remember your mandate and how you ought to live. In your making, remember to be careful of these flies. Sincerely they can make your entire perfume worthless.

1 Timothy 4:12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

So, the next time you use that perfume or its oil remember how it relates to your life. You weren't made for less neither was your distinguishing created for negativity. You are distinguished and you should live that life carefully trusting God with the help of His Spirit. With your cooperation, you will be conformed to the image of His son Jesus. Shalom!
