Dear Distinguished___Stop Flattering!

Dear Distinguished,

You ever heard of the power in your tongue? I know you'll want to form novice but Jesus, Jesus knows. I'll not start a lecture on how much you need Jesus if you swear and praise with the same lips.

The other day I heard you calling Ijeoma the most beautiful girl I've seen in all my life. Pele o Gabriel Afolayan (jnr). You better open your eyes and stop giving someone's child blind hopes. If you are not being truthful to even yourself, you don't need to compliment. Shoot your shots at yourself only.

With one mouth, you'll sing praise; you'll sing worship; you'll still go ahead to sing false praises of that street jagaban. Who are you trying to deceive?  I know you may be thinking it's just cruise as usual na... May I announce to you that flattering words cause ruin!!!

Instead of causing ruin, why not build up the faith of others? Two things you should do, see the bright side of everybody and everything; then compliment. You never know how much comfort your true words can give. Do you? In case nobody ever told you, flattery is the little sister of lies.

Let your light so shine is not a mantra! If you like keep chanting it with your exaggerated lips. Your candle will just go off.

Selah,
The Distinguished.
