Green Lights

Image
GREEN LIGHTS. A believer I am, Transformed to be who He is, For the truth of who I am Is only revealed in who He is. I never knew who I was Or who I was meant to be My god was my belly and thoughts, My desire was to fulfil my lusts. But that was before He found me, Before He called me to be who He is. Light is the totality of who He is, And darkness will not be found in Him. Darkness should not be found in me, For Truth says I am who He is, But darkness seems to have overcome me, In a sharp contrast with the light in Him. Here I am missing my cues, Here I am falling out of line. My heart does not seem inclined, To His Word which is the truth. I understand He has found me, Why do I keep losing myself? I know He has called me by His Name, Why do I keep running out of His way? It seems my past will not let me go, It seems my lusts won't leave me alone. I struggle to put them away, But the more I try is the more I fail. Help me Lord to trust in You, For my abilities have fa...

Stars in the day

Image
Beautiful as they are... The sunlit hours of daytime are here again Like spotting a single snowflake in a blizzard So is the dim light of a distant star The stars are disturbed and can't wait anymore They have chosen to be seen with the sun. How bright shall their light be? What beauty would they carry? Of what significance shall the clouds be at night and the beholding eyes of many who gaze to count the stars. Glory to Him who gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night, The LORD of hosts is his name. A place and time for everyone  Your knowledge of who you are and where you belong matters.  The zenith yet your niche.  The writer drawing and the tailor singing  The teacher plays soccer and the comedian a Doctor  The stars have decided to compete with the sun  The sun also has chosen to shine in the night  A place where envy and strife rules  A place where negligence takes over...

Getting rid of a low self-esteem

Image
Self-esteem is a favourable, dignified and appropriate regard of self. It is the quality of the expression of self image. Every human has a self esteem but there’s a variance as to how much or less we operate in it. Self-esteem in its moderate state is not wrong. Don’t have a low self-esteem and don’t be over confident either. Since we’re discussing low self-esteem, I’ll do some expounding. Low self-esteem is a tangible decline in the level of dignity and relevance with which one sees himself or herself. When a person suffers from low self-esteem, he thinks and believes that he’s inferior to everybody in the world and that his opinions or views about things are nothing to reckon with. It then goes a long way to disease his mental vitality and with time, without care, he begins to lose interest in life. Inferiority complex births low self-esteem and low self-esteem produces failure. This is why this deadly phenomenon must be aptly gotten rid of. 4 Ways to Get Rid of a Low Se...

Àbíkẹ

Image
Àbíkẹ́, Omo ìyá mi ,the totality of your beauty isn't in the number of-shape the thesis in your mind portrays. It isn't exactly all you think it is, in the hallway of your mind you see a wretched looking anti-zaftig, and a very blue creature with fangs and claws all these set in as the voices get louder.  The voices: “Àbíkẹ́ you can't make it”, Àbíkẹ́“your time is up, you can't catch up to your mates”.  Àbíkẹ́, your mind gets darker as these voices get louder. Àbíkẹ, the only voice allowed to dominate in your world is the voice you allow, in your case “ voices ”,the million and one hundred voices you allowed have had you going, decrepitly.                   Àbíkẹ́ ,the dawning of a mindset starts in your inner person, the enlightenment of the pictures in the hallway of your mind begins with how well you allow the light.  Most peo...

DEAR DISTINGUISHED:Keep On Praying!

Image
Dear Distinguished,    DEAR DISTINGUISHED: Keep On Praying!   Now that you have asked nothing in His name, how do you expect to receive? Daddy knows your needs and His responsibility to provide for you so you don't need to ask? His eyes are not too heavy to see your lack of primary wants? He knows your spirit is willing, your flesh is weak so without a word from you He'll send help?   You have forgotten so quickly how Uncle Peter almost drowned while walking on the sea until he cried out for help right? He is not blind you say... If you have sense, you'll ask, enter, ascend, receive and have your quiver full of joy.    See Esther, keep on praying! Say that again -keep on praying! When life is crazy; keep on praying! You missed an opportunity? Keep on praying! Your account is red? Keep on praying! Haven't paid your fees? Keep on praying! Your store is empty? Keep on praying! Your hormones are up? Keep on praying! Had an unexpected baby?...

THE QUESTION OF IDENTITY

Image
Is it the knowledge of who one is? Maybe the difference or character that marks off an individual from the rest of the same kind, selfhood or a name or persona—the mask or appearance one presents to the world—by which one is known. What then could it be? It still draws back to a definition of who you are and what you represent. Why are you who you are? The truth is: When your identity is found in the Creator, you will be empowered to create on levels that swallow up other forms of creativity which do not align with His sovereignty. Speaking of the different forms the issue of identity may rise, here I will be writing about certain things we need to understand as regards this issue. The place of God in identity is a very unique and crucial place in identifying who one really is and why. When God created man, it was a very special one. Why? God did that in his own image and likeness. This is our real identity and where it actually lies. What identity do you carry? Is it the ...

STOLEN LIVES

Image
I am Ajoke... The child that was cared for by all The one that was looked upon as love Born with a thousand silver spoons In my parent's eyes, I was the apple But I was assaulted Raped by strangers, my virginity was collected Now regret and bitterness fill my heart I should not have gone out that fateful night They say I've become a harlot But is it really my fault? Circumstances defined who I am And I choose that it continues like that. I am Iyanda... They say I have a great destiny For my name means to be set apart. But I see no path to my destiny, I am from a race of the worst of paupers. My parents struggled And I soon found myself in school. But I was forced into a cult, And I was expelled as soon as I was caught. I encouraged my heart that failed, Told myself to get on the feet again. Now I've become a success, For I didn't stop where I was defeated. We are victims... Circumstances played a part in what we became, But it mostly depended on what we chos...
